May is National BBQ Month

Did you know that May is National BBQ Month? Well, now you do. But, it doesn’t make much difference to Chad’s because every month is National BBQ Month here. If you can’t get enough of the sweet and smoky goodness, it’s the perfect time of year to enjoy it. Instead of cooking the same old meats and sides, why not branch out a bit? In the spirit of this national holiday, here are five new ways to enjoy the BBQ that we all love.

1. Try a New Barbeque Sauce

The key to good BBQ is a good sauce. If you fire up the grill this month, reach for a new kind of sauce to sample. Who knows, it might just be your new favorite. In fact, a new sauce can freshen up old recipes and make the meal that much more satisfying. To get restaurant-quality flavor at home, pick up a bottle of Chad’s signature sauces, including:

  • Governor’s Wing Sauce – A simple, buttery buffalo-style sauce that happens to be Maryland Governor, Larry Hogan’s, favorite
  • Honey Jalapeno Everything Sauce – Step away from the classic barbeque flavor and treat your taste buds to this award-winning sauce with a touch of heat
  • Sweet & Tangy BBQ Sauce – Craving something sweet? You can’t go wrong with the sauce inspired by Chad’s father-in-law

2. Host a Potluck

Have you ever hosted a BBQ potluck before? It’s a great way to celebrate National BBQ Month. Invite the whole neighborhood over and get a little taste of everything. You can cook up your own favorites, like baked beans and coleslaw, and possibly try some recipes you’ve never had before. Basically, a potluck pushes everyone to get a little more adventurous just in time for summer.

3. Arrange BBQ Catering

National BBQ Month 3

Kick off summer with some BBQ catering. If you’re planning a birthday party or a family get-together this month, Chad’s will be happy to deliver. Or, if you’re looking to treat the office to a catered lunch, BBQ is the best way to go. Our food is prepared fresh every single day. So, you can get that homemade taste without doing the slow-smoking, spice-blending work yourself.

4. Try a New Recipe

This month, search for a new BBQ recipe or two. This doesn’t necessarily mean you have to cook something new. In fact, you can also order something new! Chances are, there’s something on the menu at Chad’s you haven’t tried yet. For example, instead of getting the Pulled Pork Sandwich again, opt for our Rachel Sandwich with house-cured pastrami. Trust us, you won’t be disappointed.

5. Order BBQ Takeout

For those times when you don’t feel like cooking this month, order up some barbeque. Browse our Family Meal Menu to find something to feed your whole crew. You just have to decide whether you’re in the mood for pulled pork, hot links, or chicken and ribs. On the other hand, if you’re really hungry, get Chad’s BBQ Feast. It comes with a full rack of spare ribs, a whole grilled chicken, pulled pork, hot links, three large sides, and three orders of cornbread. Of course, everyone will be happy to see you walk through the door carrying Chad’s.
